Sports massage is a targeted, hands-on treatment that works into muscles, tendons and connective tissue to reduce tension, improve mobility, and support recovery. Despite the name, it isn’t just for athletes. It’s suitable for anyone who trains regularly, sits for long hours, or feels tight and restricted in certain areas.
Your first sports massage session begins with a short discussion about your training, work, lifestyle, and any areas of tightness or discomfort. This helps us understand what is driving the tension and what you want to achieve from treatment. You’ll then receive a targeted, hands-on session focused on the specific muscle groups that need attention. This may include deeper soft tissue techniques and sustained pressure designed to release tight areas and improve movement.
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing you can move easily in — for example, shorts or leggings and a T-shirt. If we need to assess a specific area, we’ll make sure you’re comfortable throughout.
Yes, we work with some private medical insurers. Please contact us directly before your appointment to confirm we can accommodate your policy, as cover varies between providers.
We treat a wide range of problems, including back and neck pain, sports injuries, arthritis, tendon issues, post-surgical rehab, and everyday aches and strains. Our approach works whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing a long-term condition, or simply want to move and feel better.
Physiotherapy focuses on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to solve the root cause of pain and prevent it coming back. Sports massage is more about relieving tension, improving circulation, and supporting recovery - it’s often used alongside physiotherapy as part of a wider treatment plan.
Absolutely. Children and young people are often highly active, juggling school, sports, and extracurricular activities, which means injuries and growing pains can happen. At Resync, we provide tailored, progressive treatment plans that match their age, activity level, and sporting demands - helping them recover safely, build resilience, and return to the activities they love with confidence.
We don’t just treat symptoms - we focus on finding and addressing the underlying cause. Sports massage is just one of the many treatments we use in a recovery. Our staged approach is designed to prevent issues from recurring, so you can move with confidence long term.
